The 1st workshop organized by the EbolaMoDRAD project was held in Dakar on 4-5 June 2015, on “Clinical Aspect of Ebola Virus Disease and Biosafety Issues related to the clinical aspects of this disease”. It was hosted by the Pasteur Institute Dakar, and co-organised with FoHM and Emergency.

The general aim of this workshop was to disseminate the knowledge about the different aspects of the Ebola virus: anamnesis, clinical diagnostics and interpretation of results, isolation measures, treatment and intensive care, supportive therapy, PPE use, infection control matters and notification procedures.

The next workshop will be held towards the end of 2015, on “Outbreak management”.
